PCAL Names Angelia Martin-Jackson as PCAL’s 2025-2026 Statewide Bus Driver of the Year

Cypress, Texas — On Thursday, June 4, 2026, Angelia Martin-Jackson of Bienville Parish School Board (Bienville PSB) was named PCAL’s 2025-2026 Statewide Bus Driver of the Year in recognition of her service.
Now in its 22nd year, the PCAL Bus Driver of the Year program recognizes drivers based on multiple driver attributes including Leadership, Attitude, Perseverance, Student and Parent Relationships, and Technical Skill.
This year, 14 PCAL Member drivers have been honored as their Parish’s Bus Driver of the Year.
The 2025-2026 PCAL Statewide Bus Driver of the Year award that was presented to Ms. Martin-Jackson of Bienville PSB is presented to just one PCAL Parish school bus driver and represents the highest level of achievement.

Aaron Ramsey of INSURICA Risk and Claims Management presented Ms. Martin-Jackson with the Statewide award on behalf of PCAL. The award included a $2,500 check, a Statewide Bus Driver of the Year 20-oz. tumbler, a Statewide Bus Driver of the Year cooler, a commendation, and an engraved plaque from the PCAL Bus Driver of the Year program. A plaque commemorating Ms. Martin-Jackson’s achievement was also awarded to Bienville PSB.
Ms. Martin-Jackson is recognized for her consistent leadership, professionalism, and commitment to student safety. She is known for arriving early, double-checking safety procedures, and supporting other drivers when questions or unexpected situations arise. She also builds positive relationships with students and families, offering patience, encouragement, and a steady presence each day. Her reliability and attention to detail help support a safe and dependable transportation experience for students.
